Privacy Policy
Last updated
This policy describes how Mova Games, Inc. (“Mova”, “we”, “us”) handles information on movagames.com and in our mobile games, including Press Jam. Read it alongside our Terms of Service.
At a glance
- Press Jam stores progress on your device and uses an automatically created game identity for online features and cloud saves.
- Your chosen player name, avatar, player code, selected cosmetics and game statistics may be visible to other players.
- Optional Firebase Analytics is off until you allow “Data Sharing”. Crash reports are collected separately to diagnose technical problems.
- Ads and in-app purchases use third-party services. We do not receive your payment card details.
- Accepting our Terms does not turn on optional analytics or grant Apple’s tracking permission.
- You can request deletion of your game data or contact [email protected].
Our website
Our public website describes our studio and games and has no sign-up or contact forms. Our hosting and network providers, Vercel and Cloudflare, receive technical request information such as IP address, browser, requested page and request time to deliver and secure it.
Emails to us contain your address and any information you include; we use them to reply and handle your request. Job applications may include your CV, portfolio and work history. We use them only to consider you for the role you applied for, or for other roles if you tell us you’d like that, and share them only with the people involved in hiring and the providers that run our email. We delete applications once hiring for that role ends, unless you ask us to keep them for future openings or the law requires us to keep them longer. Please don’t send sensitive information, such as health details or identity numbers, unless we ask for it.
Google Analytics loads on the public site only after you accept analytics cookies. It measures page views, referrals, interactions, browser/device information and approximate location. Its cookies include _ga and a property-specific _ga_… identifier. Google signals and ad personalization are turned off. Use “Cookie settings” in the footer to change your choice; declining removes our analytics cookies. We do not use advertising trackers on the public site. The site doesn’t respond differently to browser “Do Not Track” signals; analytics runs only if you accept. Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie and how long it lasts.
The private staff dashboard is different from the public site. Authorized staff sign in using Supabase authentication; it stores account/profile information, permissions, sessions and internal workspace content. Authentication cookies are necessary for the dashboard to work.
Information in Press Jam
You can start playing without entering an email address or password. When online services are available, an anonymous backend account identifies your installation. “Anonymous” means you have not supplied a sign-in identity; the game identifier and associated records can still be personal data.
- Identity and profile: game account/installation identifiers, public player code, chosen nickname, avatar, country/region used by leaderboards and selected cosmetics. Do not put your real name or contact details in a public nickname.
- Progress and settings: levels, stars, times, coins, lives, boosters, owned items, rewards, preferences, tutorial progress and consent/document-version choices. Progress may be synchronized to our servers; device-specific choices remain local.
- Online play: leaderboard scores, duel invitations, presence, match events/results, trophies and statistics needed to run competitive features.
- Technical information: device/OS and game versions, language, network request information, IP address and diagnostics. We do not ask for precise GPS location, contacts, photos or your phone number.
- Purchases: product and transaction identifiers, receipts and entitlement/fulfillment records used to deliver items and prevent duplicate delivery. Apple or Google handles payment details.
- Support: your email and information you choose to send, such as player code, game version and screenshots.
Optional analytics and crash reports
Firebase Analytics
With your permission, Firebase Analytics measures sessions, level attempts/completion, tutorials, rewards, purchases and other game events to help us understand difficulty and improve the game. Optional analytics collection starts off. Choose “No” on the separate Data Sharing screen to keep it off, or change your choice in Settings → Data Sharing. Disabling it stops future optional analytics collection; it does not itself delete earlier records.
Firebase Crashlytics
Crash reporting is separate from the optional analytics switch and is enabled in the current game configuration. Crashlytics processes crash/exception stack traces, diagnostic identifiers, device/OS/app information and recent game-event breadcrumbs, including the current level, to diagnose failures. Reports may be sent even when optional analytics is off.
Advertising and purchases
Press Jam uses Unity LevelPlay mediation, including ironSource Ads and Unity Ads, for rewarded and interstitial advertising. Advertising services may process IP addresses, device and advertising identifiers, app/device details and ad impressions, clicks and reward events to deliver ads, measure performance and prevent fraud. Their own privacy notices explain their processing.
On iOS, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission controls permission for tracking across other companies’ apps and websites. Change it in your device’s privacy settings. On Android, advertising identifier controls are in device settings. Menu names depend on the OS version.
The welcome screen acknowledges this policy and accepts the Terms. It is not consent to personalized advertising. Data Sharing controls game analytics; Apple’s tracking prompt is a separate platform permission. Where additional advertising consent is required, it must be obtained separately; none of these choices replaces it.
Purchases are processed by Apple or Google through Unity In-App Purchasing. A no-ads purchase removes the placements described by the offer; optional rewarded ads may still be available.
Why we use information
We use information to provide gameplay and online features, save progress, deliver purchases/rewards, prevent abuse and fraud, investigate crashes, answer support requests and improve the Services. Optional game and website analytics are subject to the choices above.
Where GDPR or similar laws apply, our bases depend on the purpose: performance of our agreement for game services and purchases; legitimate interests for proportionate security, fraud prevention, diagnostics and support; consent for optional analytics and other processing that requires it; and legal obligations for required records. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Children and parents
If you are below the age at which you can agree to the Terms in your country, review the game and these documents with a parent or guardian. Parents can use Apple or Google’s device controls to restrict purchases, ads and app access. Please do not send children’s personal information in player names or support messages.
If you believe a child’s information has been collected improperly, contact [email protected] so we can investigate and take appropriate steps, including deletion where required. A parent or guardian may make a privacy request on the child’s behalf.
Retention, security and international transfers
We retain account and cloud-game records while needed to operate the game and online features or until an applicable deletion request is fulfilled. Local saves and settings remain on your device until removed. Uninstalling alone does not request deletion of server records. Purchase, fraud/security and legal records may need to be kept longer to satisfy legal obligations or resolve disputes. Provider diagnostics, logs and backups are subject to the relevant provider’s retention processes.
We restrict access and use technical and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely secure. Providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where legally required, transfers must use appropriate safeguards, such as approved contractual protections. Contact us about safeguards relevant to your information.
Your choices and rights
- Change optional game analytics in Settings → Data Sharing, and website analytics in “Cookie settings”.
- Manage tracking, advertising identifiers and notifications in device settings.
- Depending on your location, request access, correction, portability, deletion, restriction or objection; withdraw consent; or opt out of applicable sales/sharing/targeted advertising.
- Use an authorized representative where permitted, and complain to your local data protection authority. Ask us to review a refusal by replying to our decision.
Contact [email protected] or follow the Press Jam data deletion instructions. Include your player code if available. We may need to verify that you control the relevant game identity; never send passwords, payment-card details or access tokens. We respond within the time required by applicable law and do not penalize players for exercising privacy rights.
Changes and contact
We update the date when this policy changes. Material changes may also be shown in the game; acknowledging an updated policy does not automatically enable optional collection.
The Services are provided by Mova Games, Inc., a Delaware corporation. For privacy requests, email [email protected]. For game support, visit Support or email [email protected].
